Hamilton Caledonian Society's Pipe Band is based in Hamilton New Zealand with the members of the band comprising from the greater Waikato and beyond with members travelling from Auckland, the Bay of Plenty and the rest of Australasia.
With approximately 50 playing members and two separate competing bands, we are one of the largest and most active Pipe Bands in New Zealand.
Pipe Major Struan Murgatroyd and Drum Sergeant Ben Jones run the number one band who currently hold a " Grade 2" status.
The Number 2 band is lead by pipe major Jim Wilson with a young drum corp taught by Alan Jones and members of the number one band drum corps. The number 2 band currently holds a "Grade 4A" Status.
